Piotr Pawalowski is an ICT expert specialized in Software Engineering with many years of experience. He is a Research Team Leader and Project Coordinator at Poznan Supercomputing and Network Center (PSNC). PSNC participated in over 100 EU funded projects (FP5, FP6, FP7, H2020, EUREKA), and Piotr has been participating or leading many of them. His interests focus on Future Internet, mobile applications, real-time multimedia services, eHealth, Smart Cities, IoT, startups.
Piotr has been participating in three FIWARE projects and is a FIWARE mentor in one of the FIWARE Accelerators. Piotr is also an entrepreneur, being involved in two own startups developing products using FIWARE. He has also helped other SMEs to successfully prepare proposal for joining FIWARE Accelerators and is in close collaboration with the team running the Poznan Internet Innovation Hub. His involvement in all layers of FIWARE give him a good overview of the program, and the possibilities it brings. As Piotr is currently living in Berlin, he is interested in building together with other FIWARE stakeholders a strong and vibrant FIWARE community there. His goal is to help startups understand what is FIWARE about and assist them in exploiting the advantages it gives.
Piotr has developed his passion for IT startups after spending some time at Stanford University, where he got bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. He is an Entrepreneur, Maker, Design Thinker, FIWARE Evangelist, European Project Coordinator, Agile Team Leader, Software Architect, Developer and Researcher.
